i have a freind with a 2000 sebring jxi that he wants to sell . the driver pin switch for the door is going nuts it keeps going on and off so the lights go on . my question is if you cut the wires will it delete the switch ? so the lights only come on if you manualy turn them on . btw the driver has 2 wires and passanger has only 1.

You are opening a potential can of worms with that one! It all depends on how it is wired, is it connected to the supplimental restraint system ( it IS on my 1998 Nissan Frontier and was on my 1995 Nissan Sentra). I would just try getting another one and see if it fixes it. It is basically built on a 2G DSM platform , IIRC, so you could use one from a Dodge Avenger, Eagle Talon or Mitsubishi Eclipse ( or is 2000 the cutoff year when DSM dissolved and Chrysler came out with a new design?) At any rate, try to find a FSM for the car before you mess with it. You may be able to find one at Carfiche.com (Carfische?, Carfisce?) as a free download.

you could try to just disconnect the switch and see how it reacts
it'd be the same as cutting the wires... just not so, hmm, drastic
