Why do all the replacement door strikers come with no rubber around them? Is there anywhere to get the rubber? Also the stock one has almost like a bearing where the new one is solid?

U can make the rubber out of a bicycle tube if you can not find them.
Tube rubber will not break down and dry out, so they will last a long time
