I just replaced the pass. side door on my GP today, and had a question about something. Both the original and new door were power window and locks, but the new door also had a third connector. Clip with 2 male terminals, and an orange and a white wire coming from it. I obviously didnt need it, just curious as to what it may have been for. It wasnt connected to anything inside the new door, just clipped in, and ran out the rubber boot with the rest of the wiring. Just curious.
And, BTW, this was pretty much a NEW door. Absolutely no rust at all, anywhere on it. I didnt think that was possible. Best $150 Ive spent on the car so far!

The only other electrical items I can think of on a door are deluxe speakers or an inside-door light (i.e. for safety when open at night).

It's for courtesy lamps on the door. My Bonnebu has (had, actually) them.

They were an option. mounted right on the lower carpeted section, red facing toward the traffic in the rear, white facing the floorboard. Fairly rare.

They don't get much respect. I bought a NOS pair on ebay for like $11 a few years ago, with no competing bids.
