drag radial/ general tire fitment of pre 81 gbody

okay so a guy here locally has a pair of bfg comp ta drag radial size 275/50/15 for $100 they have about 30 miles on them with no passes(totaled his fbody). will these fit in the rear wheel wells of my 80 regal. i know my 235/70/15 rubbed the frame when turning but that is a taller tire i believe. also i could get spacers or get a set of corvete ralleye wheels with custom back spacing to help. but do you think the 275 would even fit, i dont want the sticking way out of the wheel well if you know what i mean. i like a big tire as long as its stuffed.

a 70 is taller then a 50 forsure.
by ALOT.
Those DR's should fit no problem, I heard that the 275/60r15s fit no problem under the gbody.
I hope so.

i was just wondering cuz i thought the rear wheel wells were a bit smaller on the pre 81 cars.
