Drive shaft for th400 9 inch rear end combo

Does anyone know where u can get a driveshaft for a th400 9 inch rear end combo for an 87 cutlass supreme? Or is it only mod

You can order a chromoly one from Spohn for $395. Just four measurements and they will make you one. I am doing just that for my 4L80e/S60 combo.

I would also go the custom made route, I had mine made by DTS years ago for my 9" and doing it this way also accounts for ride height and any other variables that could change the length since you are measuring from the car it will be installed on.

I was wrong its two measurements with a loaded suspension, flange to flange and rear u-joint to tailshaft, then tell them what trans and rear u-joint you have and they custom make the driveshaft for you. They have a stronger one that is $100 more and they have options.

I'm currently running one of their 1330 series HD driveshafts in my 79 Monte Carlo and have had service work on 2 other factory driveshafts performed by them. They're great people to work with.

The one in my car is 52 1/2 in from center to center on U joints - I have another shaft that is 52 3/4 if it will work $25.00
