Am changing the transmission in my 86 Monte Carlo. I had a BW T-5 speed in and now changing to Tremec 5 speed. I had the drive shaft custom made for the BW. I had to change the front yoke to match the Tremec. I know that you measure it from the front yoke at 1 1/4 out from the transmission. When I install the shaft now it's about 1 1/2 inches out but there is approx. 2 7/8 inches still in the transmission tail shaft. Is this enough in the transmission to work and yes this is with the weight on the rear end. Thanks
