i have a grand prix stock trans 200r4. i'm replacing it with a 700r4. does any one know the exact length that needs to be cut out of my original shaft so the 700r4 can fit.

I think 3 inches, but you should remeasure after you have it installed.

The tailshaft of the 700R4 is just a touch over 3" longer than the 350, but the driveshaft isn't perfectly parallel with the tailshaft (otherwise you wouldn't need the u-joints).
