Shifting into gear causes a sharp lurch and driveshaft/diff noise while keeping brake on. Reverse is good and gentle.
Idle speed is 650 in neutral and near 550 in D. I'm not positive but a warmed up transmission seems to make it worse.
I suspect there may be a problem with the transmission.. It feel like its going to lunch the U joints. .Any
thoughts?
It has done this before I installed the B&M shift kit.
U joints show no slop
but
the rear axles clunk when turning over low curbs(in -out movement axle clunk)
Did some reading on the web and it seems to be the noise is from rear axle gear looseness..
