I figured there'd be a thread about it but I didn't find one, so yeah.... Talking about the movie about John Z. Delorean getting busted for the drug deal. Wasn't a terrible movie. TONS of G-Bodies in there, too. BUT.

GET YOUR CAR YEARS STRAIGHT HOLY CRAP I DONT EVEN

First few shots show Hoffman and his family pulling up to their house in like a 1990-ish Ciera wagon. Then it pops up on the screen.

1977

WHAT

There were other glaring out-of-time (ha) cars in there, from the maroon '87 Cutlass, the '87 Grand National, and IIRC a later Fiero GT or two, a couple Lincolns and god knows what else.

As a movie ABOUT A CAR GUY that features, I dunno, CARS as part of the plot you'd think they could be arsed to get a few things right.

Rant over. :soapbox::soapbox::soapbox::soapbox::rant::rant::rant::rant:

also not about our own Driven btw. Slight disappointment there, too, but all good. lol.

True that. I went and screen capped the ones I remembered.

Back onto the topic...Invincible with Wahlberg takes place in the 70s...and they put Panther taxis in it. Who did they think would be watching?!?

nice,I've been wanting to see that after the Baldwin interview on stern a while back.in ford vs Ferrari,there was talk of changing to vacuum secondary's and then they showed the engine with efi.get used to Hollywood not expecting car people to freak out over this stuff.their wrong.🙂

I point out historical car errors in movies regularly to my freinds and wife.

"The movie is in 84 and that car didn't come out until 87!!"

Nobody seems to care......
