driveshaft question

i just picked up a 81 malibu wagon pretty cheap, building a .040 350 turbo 350 trans. the car came without driveshaft, but have one from a 78 z28 camaro with turbo 350 trans, was wondering would that work or i could get it cut down to work. junk elcamino's are hard to find in my area? thanks for any help. also rear will be a stock 7.5

Wagons have the same wheelbase as the rest of the 2/4 door g body line. Elcaminos have a longer wheelbase.
