finally getting around to putting my monte together and have run into a problem. ive swapped a 12 bolt in which let me keep my original driveshaft now i just need a conversion u-joint that will press into the driveshaft but also have caps to fit the 12 bolt yolk. any information and or a part number is greatly appreciated.. thanks

No idea on a part number - sorry. I think its cool that you got it to work without cutting the D/S

I just bought a conversion u-joint from Napa but the box is in my Jeep. Napa has a drive shaft book that has a section for conversion u-joints. You'll need a 1310 and 1350 conversion joint. Another thing you might want to consider is a Moroso u-joint girdle to replace the junk chinese u-bolts they sell..If your not in a hurry I'll get the Napa number for you later today

I'm going to change my weld yoke to a 1310 so I won't have to bother with the conversion u-joints

Just a work of caution, I have seen people that used a driveshaft that appears to fit after doing different swaps but then they go over a bad bump and the driveshaft hits the tailshaft housing when the suspension compresses or the opposite if the rear raises too high. So once you get your u-joint on I would at least verify that the driveshaft has proper travel.

x2....my 8.2 used the same length but I'm pretty sure for a 12 bolt you need to shorten the drive shaft an inch. JBrue has a 12 bolt in his Monte so you might want to ask him

I never made it to my Jeep today but I should get there tomorrow or if you have go to Napa it's pretty easy to find the u-joint...
