hey all... dropping a big block chevy motor into my 1984 cutlass.. having trouble trying to find out what oil pan i need.... hoping for a miloden 7 qt pan..... anyone have experience w this swap?

I have the Milidon 7 quart oil pan with the kickouts on each side, I think it is part #30950 it fits very well for my Monte, but I also use a remote oil filter set up so I don't have to hassle with trying to get the filter out and I also use a Tilton style mini starter for header clearance. Excellent ground clearance also.
The pan has plenty of clearance for the front crossmember using stock clamshell or aftermarket solid engine mounts (Moroso) I have used it on both.
Moroso also makes a very similar sized oil pan that works well in a Gbody.

i have mini high torque starter also... so maybe thats the pan i need... you wouldnt happen to know anyone with a pair of decent long tube headers would ya?

Theres probably no need for a 7 quart pan.I've been using a 6 quart Moroso for several years,it has kicked out sumps.Here;

There was no room to get the oil filter between the pan and the 2 inch Hooker headers so I have a remote oil filter,its mounted behind the driver side headlight."A" Body Chevelle headers will fit but may require denting the tubes or modifying the passenger side lower control arm bracket.The smaller 1 3/4 or 1 7/8 tube headers will likely fit better,I'm kicking my *ss now for using the 2 inch ones.Also,Hookers are noted for hanging low.Heres my blog on the 2 inch Chevele headers in my Monte;

thaaaaanks for the pics... that gives me some future insite on how things are gonna look, and thanks for the info guys it helps to have someone who has been there and done that to give tips.... i already took heat and ac out so ill be good there but i am a little worried bout the oil filter thing.... engine builder says should be able to run smaller oil filter but he wasnt 100% on it... im gonna be runnin some used headers off of a monte and a guy had a big block in and supposedly stock oil filter fit and only needed to take ac and heat off, i just found this guy a day ago so ill be askin him some questions, his are 2", i kinda am afraid to run any smaller cuz the motor im droppin is a 427 13 to 1 bbc so i been warned that it needs to breath on both sides of the head

I personally would run a remote filter set up, I would never downsize my oil filter because of fitment issues and the remote it is pretty straightforward to set up, plus you can change your filter(s) without being around a hot header.
As far as headers I have only used the Hooker headers that are designed for the gbody with 2" primary tubes, there are 3 sliptubes so they install easily and they don't have to be modified in any way to fit.
My current headers are Lemons with 2-3/8" primary tubes and all 4 tubes on each side slide into the 4.5" collector and they tuck up so high you can't see my 4.5" exhaust from the side of the car.
Your 427 should have no issue with the primary size of the A body Chevelle headers but if you want better fitment and definitely you ever plan on building a bigger engine then I would step up to the 2" Hookers.

what radiator hoses did you guys use?
I believe my hoses were for a Chevelle just shortened a little, but now I have a custom lower one because I have an in hose water pump.
