Well today I washed the car within an inch of its life. OMG That was some serious algae on the thing anyways good news I did not find any serious cancer on the thing. Did find a few rust spots where the paint was chipped. Anyways I then attempted to pop the dent in the fender out it looks better but still not right. Then later on I decided lets see if that old 3.8 would turn over and sure enough it did with a little gas down the carb. Then on the fourth try sucker was running under its own power pumping five year old gas out of its tank and ran for about five minutes till i shut her down. I heard no knocks or taps and now I am left with what do I do now. I could rebuild the 3.8 and run her like she is which I guess is not a horrible idea that car used to get 19 mpg, or do I go to a V8. Choices choices.

So after doing some research a guy in England made 300 hp with a Buick 231, so I think if my block looks good I will head that route. And yes I have considered going to a Buick 350 but can't find one and if I do it will probably need just as much if not more work. So we shall see how it goes.
