I have a tan carpet I pulled out of a parts car I would like to dye black, I was wondering the best way to do it, I painted the rest of my interior black with DupliColor Vinyl and Fabric paint and it looks great, except that the carpet is a different color, so I was just wondering what kind of suggestions you guys have,

If you've used RIT Dye how did you do it and how did it turn out?
Suggestions on techniques/products used to dye Interior Carpet?

I've done it, years ago, but modern carpet is nylon and doesn't dye easily, you need a big container to get the carpet in and you need start with hot, not boiling water and you have to mix the dye about triple strength and leave it in the dye way longer than the package says, then rinse with cold water.
