Looks like it was still climbing
This, take it back and wind it out the rest of the way. My guess was high 400 for a low 400whp setup.

100% true, most people over carb/under stall.I'm in the smaller carb camp,I'm not looking to sacrifice the drivability(as i'm no carburetor whisperer) and that 670 vac secondaries treated me very well with the last go round. I'm sure if i spent a bunch of time higher up the bigger carb would prove better but so far the smaller carb has proven to be a better all around set up for ME anyways. Most people over carb their engine... And it's 524/534 per post #11 😉
FWIW 383 at 6000rpm and 100%VE is roughly 625cfm
x2Yeah. I'd like to see the HP line crest on the graph.
You could always go bigger and add annular boosters... 😀I'm sure if i spent a bunch of time higher up the bigger carb would prove better but so far the smaller carb has proven to be a better all around set up for ME anyways.

melloelky I'm running 650 AVS2 on my 468 and 489 big block Chevys 🫣😂
I need to get a wide band AFR installed.
Having a trans with lockup negates a lot of the over/under stall issues. It would be nice to see companies stop being afraid to lock the TCC in anything other than top gear. GM has been allowing TCC lock up in 2nd gear on all autos since 400 platform went to market
I was unaware the 400 trucks had a (tow haul) function.Fixed that for you. 8 lug 400 trucks lock up 2nd at WOT.

I've only owned the 455 variation (C3500HD) one with 6.5/4L85 and a 454/NV4500
The auto did have a 17-1800 stall TC in it though
