Just wanted to know if anybody has tried one of these system's yet and what your opinion is on them and are they worth it?
Thanks

I too am waiting for more opinions and reviews. I can only consider the fast EFI 2.0 because of the horsepower rating. A fellow empiremusclecar forum member made the purchase and will install in the spring. The promotional propaganda is very enticing and almost had me making the purchase twice already.

Car Craft just did some testing on a 496 BBC between FAST EZ-EFI 2.0, MSD Atomic, Edelbrock E-Street and Holley Terminator EFI
They were all comparable and Car Craft did not declare a winner but I would say the FAST is probably the best if you plan on making serious power now or in the future and was the only one tested that has eight injectors compared to four. http://www.carcraft.com/techarticles/14 ... _efi_test/

I read that article several times and took way the same as you did. FAST is the way to go for me. I presently have 611HP+ ( no dyno until late spring) and have a nitrous setup for a 300 shot. I may still do it but really want to wait a little more before I do. My main concern now is the big Barry Grant carb I have that flows 1020 on the bench, still needs some minor adjustment at the upper rpms. I hope the fast unit would correct that issue have, but not certain as of yet. What reservations do you have?

I'm leaning more towards the Edelbrock setup bc of the sump. And after playing with the FAST 2.0 handheld its not the best (having to double press buttons b/c the touch screen is cheesy) but not a HUGE deal) plus I don't NEED to be able to control timing. I think they are all comparable just pick what you like.

What kind of hp are you planning on using it with? Good to know about the display, thanks.

Right now I'm not pushing as much as some of the other guys that have posted. In the 79 Monte Carlo I have about 340ish HP but I have my sights set higher for next year (450HP) with a 400SBC I've been wanting to get started on. Unless I can find a way to sneak a LS7 into the garage with out my fiancé seeing.

This is for a car that will see no track time and will get driven daily April thru October.

But not to knock the FAST system its just a quirk I found my friend seems not to mind, I don't even think he noticed.

But if you watch a review or two you'll see they have to repress a button or two. I think its probably the most complete package if you're going to do it. Im still torn either way
