olds307 and 403 said:The 3 core will be too small for your 455. The experts mostly agree a large two core rad cools better. I have a two which did cool better but knows leaks and didn't fit properly. I only replaced it, thinking it was plugged. It was a bad Mr Gasket high flow thermostat. It got steadily worse till it didn't open any at speed. Don't buy one, junk and others have had the same issue. I buy the EP Stewart modified with 3 bypass holes drilled, Robert Shaw thermostats and never had an issue. I have a 160 in the Cutlass and a 195 in the Olds powered 4x4. I will be buying the Griffin rad very soon and will report back on quality and how it fit.
