has anybody used the edelbrock repro intake on a 455? I have a 1970 stage1 455 from a GS. an have everything but the intake. I know the factory cast intake in super heavy. Planing on building it fairly mild so it will be streetable. they built good power stock so thinking mild cam headers an aluminum intake. can't aford the edelbrock aluminum heads.(there outrageously expensive) sure they would flow great but the stock heads with alittle work will suit my purpose just fine. any help would be apreciated! an does anybody know a good but decent priced header?

No experience, but I would suggest you check over on v8buick.com. You might get answers a little quicker there. There are a few guys here who have experience with the Buick 455s but I don't know how often they check in.

Excellent intake. You can get them used for a fairly good price.

Be advised, the B4B was designed to work witth the ram-air hood & breather. The Performer will not, the carb is in a different spot. Just something to keep in mind with your GS. I love them, my first car was a 70 GS that I added a 455 to, greatest torque monster ever.
