I put an Edelbrock carb on my olds 307 with stock intake so i had to put on a adapter that worked great. But the bracket that goes on the back of my old carb for the trans cable, and throttle cable does not work on the new carb, it only bolts on to one bolt. So i try a chevy bracket that bolts on to the intake and its to far back so it wont let the carb open to full throttle. Has anyone had this problem did you have to make a custom bracket or does someone sell one.

Try calling the Edelbrock 1800 number. They are pretty knowledgeable and might have a solution.

You are having that problem since the Q-jet and E-brock carbs use a different bolt pattern. You can buy a universal bracket from Summit or Jeg's that only uses one bolt. I wouldn't use that bracket with a 200-4R or 200 trans since it might throw off the geometry and you won't be able to adjust the t.v. cable properly. If you have one of those transmissions, I believe Bowtieoverdrives.com has the correct bracket.

i ran an edelbrock carb for a while and i just made all of my own brackets with the stock ones i had
