Well I got my Malibu back from the shop last week. I had my 3.73:1 limited slip ( 7.5  ) installed with Edelbrock lower trailing arms, double adjustable uppers, anti-hop bars, and trailing arm braces.

Well before I had this installed the car would probably hop itself to death when trying to do a burn out. Now there wasn't before and still isn't a rear sway bar. and now when I do a burn out it's all nice and smooth. Absolutely no wheel hop at all. It's been so long since I've been able to do a good burn out. I with I would have bought these things years ago lol.

So if you have wheel hop issues, I can personally say that these things work.

control arms

so where are the pictures?...jesse

Yeah yeah I know, I really need some pics. Well I'm gonna take some this week end. BUt I have no burn out tires so I'l have to wait untill next year for some burn out pics. 😀

How does the Edelbrock hardware compare in price and quality against other manufacturers like Hotchkiss and Gbodyparts.com?

Well I haven't seen any of the other brands (except online lol). But I can say that these ones seem really good. No flaws, perfect welds, all nice and clean.

Everything came with the hardware except the lower arms. The instructions were very easy to understand (I didn't install them myself, but with a garage and the right tools it would have been an easy install).

The only thing that I can say was flawed was that I could hear a very small chunk of something dinging around inside one of the lower arms. Sounds like just a small metal shaving or something. But that is nothing lol.

I know some of the other brands are cheaper, but the city I live in these parts are hard to find. The parts guys look at me like I'm speaking a foreign language when I ask for them lol.

I would recommend these to anyone with a g-body. From what I heard, the anti-hop bars are only good on cars with about 300-400 HP or less. But with my stock 305 they seem to do the job.

would these bolt into my 78? it's a stock rear end nothing fancy

are all the parts from edelbrock ? do you have part numbers ?

Yup they will bolt right onto your 78.

And here are the part numbers:

5210 Rear tubular braces
5204 Rear lower trailing arms
5274 Rear upper double adjustable trailing arms
5214 Anti-hop bars

5267 Rear tubular upper trailing arms (non adjustable)

Right now I have my uppers still set at factory length (that's how they come out of the box). Everything seems OK like that. So to save money you could just get the non-adjustable uppers. I would have, but I plan on having 400ish HP next year so I'll probably need to have them adjusted then (-2 degrees). But stock length seems goos so far.

Oh, and btw. I still haven't got a rear sway bar on it yet. And I've heard that they help launces too.

how does that tubular brace 5210 work ? ans how do you put it on ? it looks like a panhard bar and i cant figure that one out

I bet you looked on the Jegs site right? They have the wrong pic on there.

there is a pic of the real braces. They just bolt up to the upper trailing arms
and then tie into the frame. But your exhaust could get in the way. I was lucky enough to have all mine cut off because i got new duals the day after I got it installed.
