Hi all. I have a ls swapped G body and I'm upgrading to a larger in tank fuel pump. I'm trying not to mangle the hanger and harness if I don't have to. Is there a trick to detaching the yellow harness connector seen in the photo? There/'s a connector underneath that connects to the fuel pump. I've disconnected that. Now I'm trying to extract the yellow connector from the metal hanger itself.

It's not meant to come apart as far as I know. Why are you trying to take that apart? I'm guessing to run larger wires?

How big of a pump are you talking? If that's a GN style tank unit, if it's 14/16/18 awg wire it should be good to handle 15-20 amps for around 2-5 feet. If you're going to be running a larger, more amp drawing pump than that, you probably should be using aftermarket components.

If you want to just replaced that bulkhead in your sender, have a look here...if you have questions, give them a call, they're really great at supporting their products in my experience with them.

It comes apart. I replaced my bulkhead in my GN hanger so I could run a Wally 525 pump with that racetronix one. The stock passthrough was designed for like a 200lph pump and if you have twins or a big single it's going to be too small.

Heres a quick video I did-
