Hello Everyone , I have a El Camino with a chevy 355 ,350th,posi rear end with 342 gears, craig weld dragstars front 15x3.5 rear 15x10 All my suspension is stock to the bone. I am looking to make my El Camino a Friday Night Street/Track car . Well my ? is what would be some good up grades for my rear end suspension and front suspension????? and what tire size is good for street and track use?????

Box the lower controll arms (rear) and buy double adjustable uppers. Then set your pinion angle.
Drag shocks front and rear.
275/60 tire.....NO SLICKS IF ITS A 7.5 REAR!!!
start looking for another rear axle if your planing bigger power.

And when your under the back end swapping rusty controll arm remember that this is suppost to be fun and you dont really want to junk your car. 🙂

Thanks for the reply .

I run polyurethane bushings in the rear control arms To plant the rear tires, Thats all ive done to the rear suspension. Ive thought about boxing the rear control arms but why it doesnt seam to need it. I say dont run any taller/wider tire then you need. For tire some run a 275/60/15 I run a 295/50/15 . How much power are you trying to plant ?

Iam running with air bags from air ride in between the springs and boxed control arms for sure. It will help with the hopping when you do a burn out!
