I have a 81 elco and It sits too low to the ground. I was wondering what i might need to do to get it up to stock height. I was guessing new heavy duty spring and shocks for the front and rear but i dont know if thats it. help me out guys!!!

I took the stuff off out of the bed and it still sits very low and the suspension is factory

(bought from oriognal owner)

does it have air shocks in the rear? i thought they came stock on them? if so air them up and put a stiff set of shocks in the front like some kyb's. i wouldent want to change the front springs, there a b*tch to do.

Maybe try cleaning out the box? 😛

I didn't know there was such a thing as "too low" haha. When I first got mine, the *ss would sag like a mother when I would fill her up, so I installed air shocks, and pumped them up a little, and it was fine.

I would say the radioactive waste from those 55 gal drums affected the springs. The rear springs are just shot.

Here's a Moog reference table with spring loads and heights if you need something stronger than stock

Doesn't hurt to check ebay for the part number either. I bought a new set of 5664's for $30.

It looks to me like the passenger side is way lower than the drivers. Check to see what kind of shape ur frame and body mounts are in.

Step 1: Jack it up and put it on stands.

Step 2: Crawl under the car.

Step 3: Look.
