ok new laptop lets see if it works

Alright so far so good. I got 3 coats of rustoleum on it and it sanded to 1500 grit. The weather turned here and I cant keep garage warm enough to clear it. My boy wanted it flat black with flat red accents. so I got the flat black and the matte clear from paint shop. hope it comes out ok. Im not looking for perfect.

We used fiberhair, nuts and bolts, and some bondo to glue/bolt the rear roll pan on with no seam.

Lookin' good, man.
I also like that console...cool piece. 8)

I saw a car the other day that made me do a double-take. It was a 4-dr Malibu sedan turned into a shortbed, crewcab El Camino. It was so subtly done that it looked factory. Two tone factory colors. I wish I had a camera with me at the time.
I saw it passing and I thought ,"nice clean Malibu sedan". Then I saw the back of it and it looked like an El Camino.

Man is it but a## clod. I swear i burned a 30 foot tree in my burner to hit 60 in my garage. still havnt got it cleared. well I had some time to mess with the shifter. The old 77 442 council isnt going to work. the shifter seams to look for gears like a old 4 speed no mater which way I adjust it. I got a hurst vmatic and have been trying to make it look good in the council, but it not working. I traded the council for a 1406 edel and some 4x4 sheet of sheet metal. I think Im going to try and bend a council for the shifter. just to throw it out there I need aa shifter boot and a truck shifter cover for a B&M to finish what i started. any ideas on custom built councils?

No reinforcement behind the roll pan?!?!
I sure hope you don't get rear-ended...

My anti-roll pan agenda is nothing new...
For me it's just a visual preference, but what really gets me is that so few people put the reinforcements back in...
Even if you have to trim/tuck the reinforcement to make it fit, it's worth the effort in terms of your own safety as well as how much damage the car will sustain if involved in an accident.
Just my 2 cents...
