Is there such thing as an in tank electric fuel pump ( that would fit in a GN sending unit ) with low psi ( geared for carb use ) with enough gph to support a 'healthy' street engine ( say around 500 HP )?

This is a standalone fuel pump assy. Will work with either fuel injection or carbureted. Will work in almost any tank with your factory sending unit. Also see:
for install video.

That's not really what I'm looking for. I just want to know if there's a pump that fits my above criteria that can be installed in place of a GN pump. I'm looking at the Racetronix setup but wanted to use a lower pressure pump because the small factory return line wouldn't be big enough to return the crap load of fuel a high pressure pump would put out.

Sorry brother, can't help you out there then. I'm a Cutlass guy. Lol
You could try checking out the Buick boards to see if anyone's done that.

I have a Cutlass too. GN sending units and tanks work in all the other G Body's. Pretty popular swap when going with electric fuel pumps.

Surely somebody here has some insight on this.

Just a thought here, I planned on using a GN sender and in tank pump with a Vette regulator which I was planning on mounting near the rear of the tank so I can run the return right back with minimal length line, not run all the way back to the tank. The Vette regulator I believe is set at 60psi but of you wanted to use a fuel regulator at the carb that would work in my eyes.

I think the only ones that might work are the ones for the tbi monte carlos. I think they are rated for like 12 psi. Still probly a bit much for a carb without a regulator. It's way better than the gn or tpi pumps though.

I don't think a TBI Monte pump would be sufficient to feed a big healthy engine at the track. I was trying to see if they have a 'high performance' version of a pump like that.
