Went for a cruise in the monte today and found out my windows no longer work. The drivers side started going down slowly then stopped about halfway down and wont move at all anymore. The passenger side will not budge either. Anybpdy have any ideas? This Haynes manual is ****ing worthless and my laptop just died also so im trying to navigate the internet with a phone which is a pain in the dick. Im not finding a window motor fuse and I have no idea where the grounds are for the windows. Im hoping someone has some insight or anything that can help. Thanks and sorry for the little detail I havent been able to tear into it yet.

Doesn't the main switch on the driver's side supply power to the passenger's side? Maybe bad master switch?

x2 what crucial118 said. If the master switch on the drivers side goes bad, chances are they wont work anymore. At least when mine did they didnt work anymore. If that doesnt work than pull off your door panels and double check the connections inside the door and connectors that go inside the passenger compartment and make sure the wires havent broken from opening and closing the door so many times. Dont quite recall where the grounds are at exactly off the top of my head. Just some ideas to keep an eye out for.

I think those circuit breakers are self-resetting. After they cool off they will work again. The ground is behind the door panel near the hole where the harness comes in. My bet would be on a bad switch or a broken wire in the door jamb. To fix it right, replace a length of wire with higher thread count that is more flexible. If you simply put a wire connector where it broke, expect it to break at the connector.

this might help.....

double check where the wire goes into the switch also...mine isnt crimped to well and the wire tends to pull out at times

Can anyone tell me where this wdo circuit breaker is? Im trying to test the wires for continuity but im not finding a connector to probe. The wires seem to come into the car and disappear. I have the factory computer harness and connectors but no color matching wires. Any other ways to test this with a meter? Im thinking since both windows dont work it has to be either that breaker or a bad wire since they get power seperate of each other. Im lost here

I pulled out the 2 30 amp breakers in the fuse box and hooked my meter up to them. Im getting .4-.5 ohms for each one and both similiar volts. I dont understand how the passenger quit working all together then a few days later the drivers side would only go down alittle then now neither one moves.

Maybe passenger side window motor puked and driver's side switch is bad?
