Ok...couple quick question for everyone. I just got this disaster of a wiring harness figured out and situated to where all my parking and headlights work perfect. However I had to tear down the entire top end and replace the head gaskets and now that everythings back together I'm having issues. All the ground wires are hooked up where they were before but when I tried to turn the engine over the negative battery cable (at the terminal) started smoking. WTH would cause that? This car has to be running this week so I need all the help I can get! I've also got some extra wires running around that have no hookups...they're in the pics below. Any help with these are appreciated!
On this connector there is a pink wire...it's not connected to anything and it's been cut, but it runs to the other side of the dash

This wasn't connected, but was shoved into the passenger side fenderwell...what's it for and should it be connected?

Also, what F-body Camaro/Firebird interior parts are usuable in the Gbodys? I've got a good lead on a set of seats and center console but if it's gonna take a large amount modifying I don't want em. Any help appreciated.

DID YOU DO A ENGINE SWAP ??

No...car was originally a V6 but was swapped way before i got it.

SO THIS JUST HAPPENED ON ITS OWN ?? SOUNDS LIKE A GROUND ISSUE?

No I had to change out the headgaskets. While trying to refire it after everything was back together that's when it started smoking.

WELL IT SOUNDS TO ME THAT YOUR NOT GROUNDED OUT RIGHT? CHECK ALL YOUR GROUNDS FROM ENGINE TO BODY MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A GOOD CLEAN GROUND. BECUASE THAT HAPPEND TO ME I SWAPED ENGINES AND MY NEGITIVE WIRE CAUGHT FIRE ALMOST SO I GOUNDED IT OUT BETTER!
