I decided to swap my tilt column in my 78 el Camino to a non tilt out of a 1978 k20 and now it won’t crank I had read the conversation works and it did besides that it won’t crank but also in the time that the column was out I put in a new starter a JEGS mini hitachi style one to give me more clearance with my headers and a new battery because the old one was leaking acid has anyone done a tilt to non tilt swap and if so what could I of messed up. I have 2 connections under the column that I can’t find where they go and I also very well may of wired the starter wrong I am new to all this.

Most people swap a non tilt column for a tilt column and consider it an upgrade being able to find the most comfortable position.
What was the problem with your tilt column to begin with?
