So the other day I completely lost all the lights in the rear bumper. No brake, tail, blinker or reverse. Anyone know what might have caused this? I already checked the fuses and bulbs. It's got to be in the wiring somewhere. I still have the rear marker lights in the quarter so it has to be something to do with just the ones in the bumper. Any help would be great. Thanks fellow wagoneers!

I've had the connector in the back of the car give me problems before. The lights would randomly stop working. Wiggle the connector and they would be working again. Id check that to start. Don't know why the one set of lights would be working though.

Jason,
I agree with Dan. Check the plug/connector near the gas tank. There's also a ground wire with an eye connector and a sheetmetal screw holding it. Looking under the rear of the car, you will easily spot them. I'd start there first.
Also try cleaning the connections where the plug enters and use alittle dielectric grease to help keep it weather tight.

Use a multimeter to see where the voltage drops or disappears, I agree it's probably the multi connecter though.

Roger.

Glad to hear that it was something simple. Don't beat yourself up...sh*t happens. :?
