Really, the majority of your vacuum hoses will get tossed as well. You'll only need a vacuum line running to the distributor as well as to the vacuum ball by the headlight for the HVAC and the heater control valve. Plus you'll need one for your PCV valve and one for your vacuum booster for the brakes.

Would this apply to my 82 regal v6 to sbc 350 swap as well? 4 Vacuum lines and no more are needed?

I gotta agree, don't get rid of vacuum canister (ball thing). I couldn't wait to get rid of mine, went right in the trash during tear down for new motor...then I had to go get one again. Only thing I would suggest is relocating it or upgrading to a steel or aluminum one. Although that's another $50-60 added onto build cost. So my vote is to keep it. Just a helpful little component to store vacuum in case you lose some on intake. Only vacuum I am running is brakes, pcv valve, vacuum advance distributor and the heat & a/c controls, but it can't hurt to keep it.
