Emblem question

Hey guys, here`s the difference between Lemans and Grandam part numbers.

The smaller, nice emblem is the NOS part # 10000803 that I got about 2 months ago. This one is for 78-81 Lemans only
The larger, ugly one I just removed from my 79 GrandAm nose and is the original one that came with it. part 10000618

As can plainly be seen in the pics, the emblem for the GrandAm is longer by 1/2 inch and the mounting pins have a 3/4 inch difference. If you look at the pics taken from the top, you can see that the angle of the opening is also more pronounced on the GrandAm emblem. The GrandAm nose is slightly more slanted and pointy than the Lemans so the emblem is adjusted to fit.

Now I have no idea how the TransAm nose emblem compares since I don`t have one but without doubt, the Lemans and GrandAm nose emblems are not interchangeable.

Hope this helps guys.

The trans am emblem is very slightly smaller, I ended up getting one for my car. I've had them compared side by side and there is only a very small difference. When I get it put on my car I'll take a couple of pictures, should be in a couple of weeks.
