Engine code on vin

My vin has a M in the engine type slot. Does anyone know what engine this stands for?

The M engine Code was for the 200CID V6 had a wopping 95 hp stock. I believe that was a chevy V6 not the bummer 231 buick boat ancor that was vin code A
C,M or A vin = V6
U 305 V8
H and L V8 350
