Engine crossmember

Has anyone customized the crossmember under the engine. I seen pics of one guy that did it to an A body car. I was just wondering if anyone has done it to a G body. What is your opinion on it and any pics. Thanks

You mean cutting it down for oil pan clearance?

I know the tubular K member is a popular mod with the Mustang crowd - and other vehicles with unibody construction. We have full frames so......

The guy cut the hole thing out and put plates over the holes in the frame than ran a tube across

I've never seen that! Does it seem like quality work? How are the welds?

There's a couple guys on maliburacing that have done it. I think 10secBu did and slimbo might have or at least talked about it. Can't remember too well, been awhile since I've been on there.
