Engine Masters Challenge

And they say 307's are a waste of time...In my defense my 307 croaked after having the car for 1 week...and I found a 350 when searching for a 307 so i jumped on a 350...

I have heard about this build. But understand that as amazing as that engine was it took a LOT of work to get wat a good top end kit on a sbc could to anyday. Still not worth the money when a 350rocket engine looks just that same and can build power much easier

Nobody said you can't make any power with a 307 just that there is no bang for the buck in it. You can alwayse get more HP/TQ from the same or less money with a 350/403 usually including the core price and its a drop in fit. Always interesting to see the engine masters builds though.

Mondello built a 307 that I put out over 400 horses a long time ago... They said it was just to prove it was possible/expiriment just for the hell of it, but not really worth the effort it's much more cost effective to go with the 330-350 or bigger rockets.

wow..i was just giving love to the 307's...wasn't trying to make it a discussion on the 307 vs the other small block olds...or sbc

I figured I'd post a link if anyone wanted to keep track, I think it's a waste of time and money with the 307 if you want allot of performance, but I also think the 307 for what it is is a good motor.

Haha I heard the engines this morning from the dyno room today as I was walking to class. I actually got to go see part of it last year but this year I cant 😢
