I havent done the research yet, but does anyone know if anything (ie connecting rods, pistons, manual fuel pump, etc) from my 231ci buick engine to a small block chevy? ( I know the obvious first thing would be set #, too many parts :wink: )...just to open up some options for ordering parts.

No, you are better off buying any parts you need for a smallblock than use any old 3.8 parts anyways. But no I am pretty sure nothing is usable easily. Anything is usable if you machine it enough.

Agreed. Nothing interchangeable except maybe the distributor rotor, alternator, and maybe power steering pump.
