i have a 1985 Cutlass Supreme Brougham Sedan with a 3.8L in it... the car will start and run BUT when you drive acts like it wants to stall out... it ran fine when temps were in teens or colder... now the temps are 40-50 and the car doesnt wanna run right and i have to pump the pedal to keep it going... i already changed fuel filter on the car and no difference... any ideas what is wrong with this thing?

ok... found out reason... the carb is messed up... the flapper for the choke is opening up since it warmed up outside and leaning it WAY out... the jets function right on the car.. lowers work at barely any throttle and upper jets spray when higher throttle... it has new fuel filter and stuff...

i think ... i am sorry to say... i am goin back to Fords since i can understand them better and fix them easier... i cant find parts for this car and i cant sink money into it just to make it run... i am sorry guys, but this car is nightmare due to past owners neglect and messing it up...

Ya, it is pretty easy to quit

Yea go back to Ford you can fix one with a hammer

not really quit... dont have finances right now to repair like i wanted... sold it to a father and son as a project for the son since it is a first car... the son i guess is gonna fix it up and father will be helping... they were surprised since it still had a rear bumper and that it started so easy... the truck my fiance was supposed to get had a used 5 speed put in that wasnt guaranteed to even work, needed clutch bled out, tires were shot with steel belts hangin out the side, and driver side exhaust manifold was busted bad... no way that we were payin $900 for a truck to sink same amount into when we need a vehicle that runs and drives... i am getting a 1986 Grand Marquis from Kansas City and she is instead getting a 1989 Crown Victoria ... these are cars hat run, drive, dont need all kinds of work and are cheap to buy... i can also later mod to make into sleepers... a friend of mine has a Crown Vic waggin' he took to track and shocked the crowd... he had 3.55 rear gears, 5.0L HO, and aftermarket exhaust done to car and smoked a 80s Iroc Camaro on the track by 5 car lengths
