Enigine and engine bay paint?

I wanted to paint my entire engine black and spiff up the engine bay also my question is.
1st question what's and good paint I can use on my engine?
2nd question what type of paint can i use for the engine bay after i sand it and prime it down?

Because knowing me i'll grab something that might peel away and be highly pissed lol so what's your opinion

por-15 is great stuff, engine enamel like VHC is good stuff too. I bet even krylon high heat grill paint will work fine, the key is obviously the prep which is especially important for under-hood items.

I used por 15 engine paint on my gp and the irocz i previously owned it stays on bright finish, and doesnt flake or rust ,the irocz looked just as good as the dY i painted it a year later when i sold it ,and my dads car was painted over ten years ago still looked good last i seen it a few years ago

Proper preparation is more important than what you use. Make sure everything is extremely clean, dry, and not glossy.

I used high temp rustoleum on my engine and vht chasis and roll bar paint on my engine bay. I would also reccomend Por-15 i havent used it in my engine bay but i plan on using it to coat the undercarriage of my Elco.

I put some POR15 on my firewall and cowl area today. I cleaned it the best I could so hopefully it turns out good. I would use POR15 on the frame and suspension parts if I were you. I have yet to see anything hold up as good. For the engine I would definatley go with Duplicolor engine enamel. I have never had a good experience with any other brand besides Duplicolor. You will spend 3 times the amount cleaning and prepping that you do painting but its worth it.
