Yeah but is EOS or the MOPAR stuff "break-in oil"? Or something else? An anti-wear additive? It only says to use it when the cam valvetrain are serviced. I find it odd that JEEP would require a shot of ZDDP loaded additive when there are three CATS downstream.

The black EOS I have says its suggested use is a 1 bottle for break-in and 1/2 bottle added to every oil change. The even older stuff in the tall pull top cans says to add a can at every oil change. I do know there was a mechanic at the local Chevy dealer that used it as assembly lube on cylinder walls and bearings when he rebuilt engines. Now they usually just replace engines. Obviously it doesn't account for catalytic converters nowadays. So I'm not sure I'd put a 1/2 bottle or even a full bottle in a car with cat(s). I wouldn't worry so much about the cats if you're only using it for cam break in and draining the oil afterwards. The cats can survive a break-in period.

That was my plan. I used the ZDDPLus cam paste on the lobes and lifters. I will use it on the rockers and pushrods too. Then I was going to put a bottle of the ZDDPlus liquid in with the oil. As stated, for initial fire-up I want as much protection as possible then drain it.
