Germany, upper Bavaria
i saw a post in the monte section for the difference on euro models.
i think some of you could find it interest for the regal

Tailight with yellow turnsignal, yellow sidemarker in the back (red wasnt allowed at the side, but laws changed if they are in the same housing as the backlight its ok), 2 stoplight instead of parking and parking/Stop/turn
and these swissmodel got 2 reflectors at the back

if you break and hazard is on, the turnsignal arent changing from blinking to stay on

sidemarker in the front where wired to a turnsignal. it have to be that all turnsignals are blinking in the same frequency and not inverse. the 4 yellow parklight (two in the turnlights) at the front are cutted because it isnt allowed to have yellow light to the front. sealed beams are removed and replaced with euro headlight (hella or bosch with lamps and integrated white parklights in the outer lights

the mirrors are different (they are the standard mirrors for GM euro models) and can be moved

AND no Cat, CCC and ECU at these 84 with 305 sbc

tires was 205/75x14 in size with a 2:27 rear

the exhaust is stock 2 cause there is (was) a problem with the tailpipe exit to the right

tolles auto, mein freund! 😛

are those factory wheels on it? I don't recall ever seeing those before. 8)

nice regal. the tail end looks nice with the amber corners, but then I'm partial....

I do remember seeing those rims on other regals, they were an optional rim, not popular at the time.

good lookin car man

tyvm 🙂

the rims were used on the 84 "somerset" edition. RPO code = PE1
i saw this only a second time on a 79 model.
they are 7x14

WOW! Fabulous Regal you have there! I do like the tailights also, how about the cutlass model? did it have amber in the tailights also?

Dont know about German laws about cars, but all the american cars in Finland have got the original red side indicator/brake light system. I my self bought and Sweden export Monte and it has got fully red rearlights.

afaik there was none 100% "have to be" cause there could some exceptions but with a lot of bureaucracy.
as increased import in the beginning of the 80th GM decided to make "official" export versions suited for the market here.

one thing i have forgotten is the speedometer im km/h

I was wondering where in Europe got the all red tail lights, no back up lights just red lense. Now I know that it was Sweden
