lol@new sound ordinance... and to the original poster, i asked my daughter why she likes "daddy's fire car" and she told me "cause of spin the wheels"... my daughter is 3 1/2 and was deathly afraid of my mc, i found i couldnt start my car until she was in it... if i started it while she was outside, she would flip out, "no its too loud, stop making that sound"... but the muffled sound of the exhaust while inside the car isnt as bad, and me and my wife told her "the fire car is suppose to be loud its daddys race car"... i think what sealed it for her, was when i found an empty parking lot after a rain and did donuts with her, no screeching tires cause the ground was wet, and SHE LOVED IT... now everytime we get in the car, she tells me to "spin a da wheels" and will sit in the back making motor noises, vrrooom vrooom blub blub blub vrooom... i say first try starting the car with your daughter already inside, and try n make it fun for her, make engine noises, smile, laugh, and make sure he knows that "daddy's race car" is safe and fun... i cant come home from work without taking my daughter for a ride around the block a few times, and now when we pull back down our street to come home, she yells at me "NO NOT THIS WAY" and its a fight to get her OUT of the dang car that i use to have to fight to get her IN... wish you the best of luck, little girls car be stubborn

My daughter turned 2 April 9th. She'll make vehicle sounds if we're in one of the other vehicles or when she's behind the wheel of the cutlass until I fire it up. I was reading through your build thread earlier did you put the tail pipes on? If so got pics?

I took the kids out for McD's last night and my 8-year-old daughter asked me, "Daddy, can I help you fix your car"? I told her, "Would you like your own car, and we can work on it together?" "YES, DADDY! But can I have the old one in the back yard that's kind of round instead?" (1952 GMC pickup). Then my 6-year-old son said he wanted one, too, a truck. "How about the big white one?" (1983 K30). "Yes! That's the one with the stick in the middle, right?" "Yes, it has a manual transmission. We'll have to teach your left foot what to do." Then my 3-year old pipes up, "Daddy, I want the blue truck!" (1972 Chevy C10).

That leaves the G-bodies for Daddy...

i re-used the old tail pipes for now until i can afford 2.5" tail pipes... the ones on there now are only 2 1/8, so my exhaust is choked down a bit, BUT i have to have the tailpipes otherwise its to loud inside the car... the full tailpipes exit far enough back that most of the sound is BEHIND my car instead of UNDER it, when i had a short pipe on my muffler it was way to loud in my car, the full tailpipes cut the sound in at least half...

so did you choose an exhaust set up yet? took another pic or 2 of the full tailpipes, i really think exiting outside the car and behind it helps quiet down inside the cab...
