Both types of these mufflers are cheap. And both of these videos are cars with 305s in them. Tey are both a straight through type muffler, so performanceshould be the same. I plan to change mine from the glasspacks to the chambered exhaust. You don't hear to many cars with chambered exhaust.

The Chevelle sounds like a big block, most likely non-stock. I don't think you will get the same effect with a small block, at least not without an after market cam.

chambered mufflers ftw! I'm gettin some hooker aerochambers soon. The plus is they have no packing that will loose performance over time.


vladj - Glass packs won't give you the best performance but they are cheap. There's always the other option of just getting the cheapest quality exhaust possible (ebay stuff) and adding some cutouts later to free up some real hp

anyone have any experience with a flowmaster w/ a turndown and no cat, my cat is shot and i got the car with basically no exhaust after the cat, was thinkin of gettin rid of the cat and installin a flow, good idea??(there are no emissions test here in illinois)

well I've used two different flowmaster mufflers (first one broke?! after a few months and the welding shop installed the 2nd one for the price of welding). I'm biased cuz I've had a bad experience w them, but for the money you can get something higher quality and quieter too

well what is the best exhaust setup for most power? i also want it to be loud but it has to be a good muscle car sound. i have magnaflow on my daily driver and its not bad but i want something better for the cutlass
