hi everyone i am new to g bodys and was wondering if anyone had any advice on what mufflers will sound good but not obnoxiously loud on my 1983 cutlass supreme, it has a stock 305. also should i go for a full system or just a muffler for now (im still in high school so i dont have a very large budget) thanks

Any Flowmaster will do, read up on their descriptions of each muffler and you will be able to determine which one is right for you. I have heard good things about Spintechs. A friend of mine runs them on his Le Mans and it sounds mean but his motor and cam are also radical. Never ran them myself. Friend of mine also runs a Pypes kit with the Pypes mufflers and those sound good too and the kit is only about 250 bucks.
I run the e-40 flowmaster on my cutty i got 3inch exhuast all the way back, im 65 and its not to loud for me, i love the sound

Does it need replacing? My old muffler just rusted out , everything else was fine, so I just replaced the muffler. Tried a super 40 first but it was too loud, more show than go in my case, the super 50 just Burbled nicely, like a 1960s V8.

Go true duals. Less retricted than catback and would work even better on the bigger engine you'll eventualy put in.
