I upgraded to a 1 1/4" front sway bar and used the same stock frame brackets. They seemed a little small and really compressed the new bushings when I bolted them on. Did the F-41 suspension use larger brackets to accomodate the larger bushings?

the brackets are all the same size no matter what bar you use. The bushings are made for the size you want to use. As the bar gets bigger the bushing material around the bar gets less. If the bushing you have don't fit you got the wrong ones.

They fit ok, just seemed quite compressed, I guess that's normal. I also noticed that the bar rubs the sides of the front frame rails where it bends up. End links are new. Maybe my suspension is just worn. The upgrade front and back sure made a difference, best thing I added to the car.

think its upside down?

Standard bracket on the left, F41 on the right. Notice the different bolt heads also. The holes have the same spacing but the "loop" in the bracket is larger on the F41 bracket, so the bolt heads need to be smaller.

I may have been incorrect about all the brackets being the same size. I forgot that U use an aftermarket bracket that uses different size bushing to accommodate the size of the bar. My current 36mm bar is a tight fit in the brackets tho

Does anybody have a pic of a properly mounted F41 sway bar? I have concluded that mine is possibly upside down, but when I flipped it, the bar rubs the frame (as mentioned previously on this thread) so I just want to double check that its wrong before I go through the hassle of taking it off again. :puke:
Thanks G-Budys
