F body 8.5 into g body?

Found an fbody 8.5, supposedly has disc brakes and a Detroit locker.

Question is can one easily be swapped into a g body?

I can get it fairly cheap or trade for my rallies.

I'm not sure on the length (if it's the same or close enough), but even if it is close, you would need to weld the appropriate brackets and mounts to it since the F-body will be for a leaf spring setup

The 70-81 rearend in the F-body is 62.5" wide, whereas the g-body's are 58" wide.

I suppose I'll just posi the 7.5 until i find a 12 bolt or a gbody 8.5.

I think his car (JBrue) is very nice but his rear tires do stick out, he might have already had the rims and tires before the rear end swap but adding 2" to the needed backspace to a rim that already needs to have 4"-4.5" of backspace to fit correctly leaves you with limited selection in rims that are deep enough to set the rim in far enough and if you have a frame notch it makes it even harder to make use of the added clearance.
My 15" x 8.5" Convo Pros have the widest BS available for my width which is 5" and with my frame notch this keeps my 295/55 MT's tucked in to where no part of my tire sticks out which is the look I'm going for.

I wanted mine tucked into wheel opening too so I have 60.5" width and 4.5"BS. I think my tires are more narrow than yours and JBrue's. I have a 16x8 rim with 245-50 tires on them
