I will have moonroof seals ready in 6-9 months. We need your support to get yours replaced. If you need it replaced check with your local gbody specialist they will carry them.

All,

We are very close on the seal for the moonroof. Initial extrusion is being test fitted at Gbody Parts next week and if we are good we will start production in 2-3 weeks.

Not to be nosy or anything but if all is well and they go into production what do you think the price point will be?

Damn, I remember searching everywhere about 10 years ago for one. Had no luck. I don't have a moon roof car anymore, but I'm sure those who do will be very happy/

Gbodyparts will be selling them. Please contact Brian for details.

Any idea when these will be available for sale? I am in need of a moonroof seal badly. Will be ordering as soon as available.
Thanks.

Brian received the initial extrusion test run to make sure the crush strength of the seal will be ok against a working factory moonroof. Once he gives the "all clear" that the piece is of the best quality and performs as it should we will finish the last seaming tool and get them into production. My guess is a month and the presses will start running.

I am going to cut and paste this thread and email to Brian at Gbodyparts so he can can reply and give his feedback as well.

I also forgot to mention that we will be offering the moonroof tray seal as well. It is adventageous to replace that as well if you are taking the tray down to inspect for rust, leaks, lube rails, replace headliner etc.

Brian,

You should make a package deal which includes new headliner, clips and all so after the "rebuild" of the roof is finished it can be finally forgotten about and enjoyed!!

I actually just placed a large Moon roof ABS head liner order yesterday. I will be doing a package deal on a complete kit with both seals & front headliner clips. We usually just leave The rear clips in so that the board can be slipped in & out. This way you do not need front & rear clips.

We do not have pricing from the manufacturer yet. We did place a blind 1000 piece order. With the old retail of the GM seals beoing $155.00 I know the aftermarket will be less.

We are going to do a package deal on the pan & glass seal. Then an option just to buy the glass seal or Pan seal by itself. I have no idea how these will be shipping to us. But we do have a list currently with names & contact info. We will be going thru this list first. If you want to just call or e-mail us to be put on the first contact list. They will be the priority shipments.
No $ needed just a way for us to get a hold of you to get Shipping & payment info when they arrive.

On the headliner boards you have are any of them going to be for the 78-80 models, since these cars had the upper seatbelt mount in the healiner and not on the b-pillar like the 81-88 models did?
