I would try disconnecting the upper linkage arm, and or see about getting a 350 cable...it looks to me like you have the 200c cable which is a 3spd like the 350, but the distance between shifts may be different. Only other thing I notice is that the bracket for the cable looks like it is bent down. I gotta run by my buddies and look at his 350 setup without the upper linkage. I will get back to you 2mrw.

The TH350 bracket is supposed to be like that however. I got mine from dixie and it was just like that. Bolted it in last night and it's sitting in the right place although it's quite a tight fit but I am slightly retarded when it comes to shifter linkages 😳 . My problem now is that it won't upshift but it will down shift just fine. I have to put the trans in P from D1 with the rear of the column. Hopefully it's just the new cable that's sort of stiff

I didn't get a clean shot from below(no lifts). The rear of the bracket is not bolted in the bolt hole it is off by like 3/16th (that is a guestimate). I'll have to raid pick-a-part and try to find the 200c bracket. Btw is there a little light bulb in the gn center console? Cause I can't see in the early morning where I'm shifting. I keep trying to take off in neutral. :x Finally is there a repro sticker for the regular 3 speed transmission available? I could always wait till I get my 200r4 but I my end up keeping this car stock and getting a turbo 87 later on.
