Hey fellas. I have a 83 Oldsmobile Delta 88 Royale Brougham Coupe (Not a G-Body, but a B-Body, incredibly closely related).
A few years ago I noticed my fans kept blowing and were unresponsive to the switch. They even blew when the car was off and killed my battery a few times. I ended up unplugging the blower motor. I was always told it was probably a relay, so recently I changed the relay. The fan was responsive to the controls, BUT... it doesn't really blow any air. Before, with the bad relay, if i plugged in the blower motor, I couldn't change the setting, but it blew air properly. I thought it might have been the resistor. I changed that. Fan still doesn't blow air. I went to the junk-yard and pulled another blower motor, it's even less responsive than the one I had. The motor spins, but its not pushing air into the cabin. It did when I had a bad relay, why is it acting odd with a good relay?
Thanks fellas.
