remember this car, not a G, but still a cool Monte. http://media.cars.ign.com/media/835/835567/imgs_1.html
I love the look and attitude of the car, found this link that has some pics and a lil info on the car. It's so raw! the gutted interior, Aluminum bead rolled door panels, bare metal and tack welds everywhere sweet! just thru a pic of my car in its current state. still looking for a hood!!!! i guess my car has some similarites??? the color and wheels, I love the Goodyear Eagle tires and Cragars on the Monte, wanted the Yellow Letter ones myself

did you know they made 7 of those cars just for that one scene, I found it interesting, but yeah loved the monte in that movie

i didn't know that, but it does say they had 9 total, and 2 had big blocks in em the rest were just Small Blocks and som just rollers

oops my bad, ha guess i don't remember facts to well

I just went to go see Role models and they showed the trailer for the newest Fast and furious movie and they trash a Grand National or its clone but still its cool to see cars like these in movies.

yea another member posted a topic mentioning that, I seen that trailer awhile back, when it leaked on some site. hopefully it's just a plain jane regal in GN Trim

i agree cuz it would suck a** if it was a original considering how hard its to find one. i dont think they would destroy a original but again....

If you listen to the "GN" engine on the Fast and Furious trailer, the engine sound is not a Turbo charged 3.8. Definitely a V8, unless there was serious dubbing going on. Interior shots didn't look too GN either. Odds are another "attack of the clones".

Well, nothing is sacred in Hollywood. A classic car is merely a small price they pay out of their enormous budgets.

Remember that burgundy '86 442 they wrecked in 'Four Brothers'? How about all those '96 Impala SS's in ah, I can't remember the name of it now. Oh well. For every one car you see getting wrecked, chances are the studio wrecked about 2 more of them. If you own one, just take comfort in the fact that it's making yours all the more valuable by thinning the herd.

There was a feature about that Monte in either hot rod or car craft a while back. Two 'hero' cars had 572's, the disposable cars had 350's.

That GN in the new trailer seems pretty obviously a clone, the biggest clue is the lack of a turbo hood.

love that car. After I get my 79, that's the other one I'm lookin for 8) 8)
