Fast and Furios Tokyo Drift Monte Carlo

The best thing I ever saw done with a Prius on film was on the BBC's Top Gear. They took a machine gun to it!

As for the RB26DETT (R32-34 Skyline GTR engine) powered Mustang, I loved it. I so want to build a Japanese engined musclecar myself because it flies in the face of convention. Everyone puts American engines in Japanese cars, why not return the favor? Anyone up for a 13B Mazda rotary in a Chevette? (It's done all the time in Australia, where the T body was called the Holden Gemini)

What about a VR4 AWD drivetrain in an fox body mustang conv?

remember this car, not a G, but still a cool Monte. http://media.cars.ign.com/media/835/835567/imgs_1.html
I love the look and attitude of the car, found this link that has some pics and a lil info on the car. It's so raw! the gutted interior, Aluminum bead rolled door panels, bare metal and tack welds everywhere sweet! just thru a pic of my car in its current state. still looking for a hood!!!! i guess my car has some similarites??? the color and wheels, I love the Goodyear Eagle tires and Cragars on the Monte, wanted the Yellow Letter ones myself

3000GT VR4, or Galant VR4? The 3000 Gt would be possible, maybe even with a 2wd trans from a standard 3000GT. The Galant however, would be kinda difficult as it's AWD, but transverse mount like a DSM or EVO. ( It's the predecessor of the EVO)

sounds like they put in some beefy V8's though to do the stunts

They did. The stunt cars had V8's, and the car with the inline six could barely get out of it's own way, and was more for camera shots. Maybe they didn't feel like putting the time into making it work correctly, but in the magazine feature of all the cars, they said it was embarassing...

If done properly I think it'd be pretty cool. You might see a few other Mustangs at the local cruise spot, but there sure won't be another one with that motor in it!

seeing cars like that... makes me think it's OK to roll my SS in primer... maybe i will.. or i will change my mind...like i have done 900x

honestly i love that look, the sleeper/under construction project look, haha. my car has the primer spots and you can tell the vinyl top has been removed, and the paint finish is dull and sanded in some areas. but all in all my car is rust free and pretty straight so whenever it comes time to paint and make it look pretty, it's all there

was the motor in the mustang twin turbo or just single, when you consider the fact the car was basically a shell and then put the motor into it i bet it would be pretty fast, that's the only reason most imports are fast is because of weight. personally i thought it was kinda cool

It's a RB26DETT, which means it was an : RB series, 2.6 liter, Double overhead cam, Electronic fuel injection, Twin Turbo when new. (It says RB26 on the timing cover next to the cam phase solenoid) They probably used the transmission from a RWD Skyline GTS-T with an RB25DET in it instead of the AWD trans from a GTR, as this is a popular way to put that engine in a USDM 240SX. Also, in the pics I saw, it had a single turbo conversion done instead of the stock staged twin turbos. These engines can take an incredible amount of abuse and boost, with several seeing the 1,000 hp figure on a stock bottom end, just like a Toyota 2JZ-GTTE from a MK IV Supra twin turbo.
The RB series is essentially a derivative of the old L24 from the original 240z, and is also a bolt in swap with stock mounts to an original Z car or RWD 810 Maxima.
