Well... I WANT 180gb of media storage in my car, plus internet connectivity through the cell phone network would be nice. I wish I could put something similar in the Cutlass, but it just costs too much.

The biggest one i don't get is the auto drivers power window are we getting too lazy to hold a switch to roll a window down. The center gauge cluster on some new cars is harder to see to me.Looking down and up is easy looking down and to your right is a pain to me.heated and ac seats are kinda dumb to me.I love the cars and suvs that have like 20 cup holders and only seat like 5 who needs 3 or 4 drinks at once.Yeah a lot of cars have useless cup holders too.Forget air bags put a 6 inch metal spike in the middle of the steering wheel you would think twice before doing anything dumb.Or like some cars like a mustang get bigger every body change but still have a tiny useless back seat. The new high end cars you don't use a key to get in or start have we gotten so lazy to put a key in a lock and turn.Best one i can think of a cooled glove box here is a idea use a cooler lol.I can rumble on for hours on dumb things.Only thing i seen that made me laugh was a 99 300m the small plastic glove box had 12 screws holding it in did they think it would fall out.

the absolute worst has to be fixing Check Engine Lights--"what do you mean 4hrs diagnostic time? the computer tells you exactly what's wrong!!!"
Obviously you have never spent any time in the repair buisness, most garages start at one hour diag, which most problems can be fixed in, but trust me after 26 years at g.m. dealerships you have NO idea how strange some of these problems can get.

Yeah, that's a big one. I chalk this one up to cutting costs in manufacturing. Notice the cars that have this, where they come from? (i.e. Toyota Yaris, Mini Cooper)... My theory is they did that so they could build left and right-hand drive versions without retooling/redesign to manufacturer mirror-image dashboards. Like most cost-cuttin g measures, good for them, bad for us.

pennsburg: i was quoting stupid customers i've had to deal with. i know about weird problems when repairing cars.

What about the change oil lights? Those things are horrible!! I have seen some that wont turn on till 10000 miles. Of course people think you are trying to rip them off when you try to tell them to change their oil more often.

I also like the one-touch power windows. I can get in the car, start it up, and just press a button for a half-second to get the window down so I can start steering right away.

I made the mistake of driving to cail from kentucky middle summer once in a car with no air.Good tinted windows helps a lot i have learned.
